This is about the birth of light in the deepest darkness. It's about Christmas. And the expectation inside, in the soul, when we know, something shining and divine is about to be born.

We are two people, a musician and a writer-therapist-painter, who were living in an old castle that used to be a monastery for nuns. We found an old book of prayers from france, written by a monk, it had a text for every day of the year. In december, as the darkness grew deep blue around us, we read the texts and began to draw and compose music for the days. It turned out to be a journey towards the birth of light. Towards faith, hope and love. It was the journey of Virgin Mary. From the day an angel told her to bear and give birth to  Gods own child. What did she feel? The touch of God... How was it possible for her to comprehend? As we immersed ourselves in the texts, the drawings and the music something shining grew, and it grew fast. 

It became this artistic meditation in pictures and music. 

Twelve phases from what we call the announcement to the birth of Jesus on Christmas night. 

We have worked on this over two years. The pictures have become big prints on canvas, hanging down, so wind can gently move them, a small text to each picture and a beautiful piece of music for each one on them, so it is possible to travel inside to be part of the phases of the mystery called Christmas. 

There is a book to company you along the journey, a book to keep for Christmas for the rest of your life to travel together with Maria towards the birth of light every winter.
